Sail the World
Sail the World-what is it about?
First and foremost, Sail the world is about YOU. Being part of a team on a tall ship, setting off from one continent. crossing an ocean or two and arriving in another continent will hopefully be your adventure of a lifetime.
When you are on a passage you will take your turn 'on watch' every day and night, feeling at one with the wind and the ocean and knowing that it is through your own efforts and those of your team that you will reach your destination.

Whatever your ability, you will make a contribution to the team and you will discover abilities you didn't know you had. You will navigate by the sun and stars and you will follow the route of the sailors who built our world through exploration and trade.
Sail the World is also about bringing the JST ethos to new places in the world
When you arrive at your destination, you will be welcomed by local people who may have never seen an accessible sailing ship like ours before or experienced our mission to see physically disabled and able-bodied people working side by side and discovering their own and each other's abilities on a tall ship. Many ports have already expressed an interest in hosting our ship's crews and you will also have ample of time in port at the beginning and end of your passage to enjoy this special interaction with local people from different cultures. You will feel completely different from being an ordinary tourist!
After time in port when you arrive at your destination, the ship will undertake some short voyages with local disabled and able-bodied people aboard before setting off on her next passage. For some parts of the world, this will be the first time that disabled nationals will have had the opportunity to sail on a tall ship.
